The Department of Chemistry at the faculty of Science, University of Kerbala, organized a scientific field visit for third-year morning-study students to Imam Al-Hasan Al-Mujtaba (PBUH) Hospital, as part of efforts to enhance practical training and to link theoretical concepts with field applications.

The visit aimed to familiarize students with the nature of laboratory work within healthcare institutions and to introduce them to the instruments and techniques used in chemical and biochemical analyses, in addition to highlighting the role of chemistry in medical diagnosis and in supporting therapeutic processes.

The visit included a guided tour of several laboratories, during which the specialized staff provided detailed explanations of laboratory testing procedures, occupational safety standards, and the importance of accuracy in hospital laboratory work.

This visit is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the Department of Chemistry to develop students’ scientific and practical skills and to prepare them for the labor market after graduation.
