The College of Science at the University of Kerbala, through the University Psychological Counseling Unit, organized an awareness workshop titled “Autism Spectrum.”
The workshop was part of a series of activities aimed at spreading psychological awareness and enhancing community culture among university students. It addressed the definition of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), its behavioral and cognitive characteristics, and positive ways of dealing with individuals with autism within society and educational institutions.
The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Balqees Hadi Hashim and Assistant Lecturer Hiba Sadiq Abdul-Azim, who presented the scientific content in a simplified manner supported by examples, while also opening the floor for discussion and audience participation.
Held at the College of Science, the workshop witnessed notable attendance and active engagement from undergraduate students and staff, highlighting the importance of such events in supporting mental health and promoting academic and humanitarian awareness within the university environment.
