College of Science Achieves a New Research Milestone in Biochemistry and Medical Applications

When scientific expertise aligns with ambitious research ideas, the outcome is a meaningful contribution to academic excellence. In this context, Professor Dr. Haitham Dalool Hannon and Professor Dr. Nargis Hadi Mansour, in collaboration with their student Du’a Hilal, have published a research paper in a peer-reviewed scientific journal indexed in both Scopus and Clarivate, with a citation score of 4.8 and an impact factor of 4.2.

The study focused on the synthesis of new organic compounds known as imidazoles. These compounds were evaluated for their biocompatibility with blood, followed by an investigation of their anti-inflammatory activity.
The findings revealed that the synthesized compounds show promising potential for future medical applications due to their significant biological properties.

This achievement reflects the advanced level of scientific research at the College of Science and underscores the commitment of its faculty members and students to producing high-quality research with tangible scientific and practical value that serves the community.
