College of Science Organizes Seminar on “Transforming Fear of Competition into Motivation for Achievement and Excellence”

The University Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Science, University of Kerbala, organized a scientific seminar entitled “Transforming Fear of Competition into Motivation for Achievement and Excellence.” This initiative forms part of its programs aimed at developing students’ skills and enhancing their self-confidence.

The seminar addressed the concept of fear of competition, its psychological causes, and its impact on students’ performance and level of achievement. It also highlighted constructive strategies for transforming such fear into a motivating force that fosters ambition and academic excellence.

In addition, the seminar emphasized the importance of building self-confidence, developing positive thinking skills, and setting realistic goals. It also discussed the role of the university environment in supporting students and encouraging creativity and distinction.

The event witnessed notable engagement from attendees through active participation in discussions and questions, which contributed to enriching the academic value of the seminar.

At the conclusion of the seminar, emphasis was placed on the importance of continuing to organize such events, given their role in developing students’ competencies and motivating them toward success and excellence.
