His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi congratulated the Iraqi Professor, Dr. Bashir Al-Hashemi, who was chosen as a Fellow of the Royal Society in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Al-Aboudi said “ The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq is following with interest and pride the scientific and academic excellence submission by Iraqi scientists in the world and in the United Kingdom in international universities, as well as our great confidence that the Iraqi competencies and elites in the world will enrich the Iraqi Higher Education’s environment in a way that supports the aspect of our universities in achieving its project aimed at internationalizing education and bringing it to the highest level of ambition that is consistent with its academic reputation in an environment of competition and global ranking”.

It is worth mentioning that Professor Bashir Al-Hashemi specializes in the field of electronics engineering and occupies the position of assistant president of King’s College London University. He is a holder of the Order of the British Empire and a fellowship of the Royal Academy of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in electronics engineering from York University, a Master’s Degree in electronics engineering from Cardiff University and a Bachelor’s Degree in electrical and electronic engineering from University of Bath in the UK.
