Notable Success of a PhD Dissertation on the Evaluation of Trace Elements and Biochemical Variables in the Serum of Long-COVID Patients

Professor Dr. Narges Hadi Mansour, a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, University of Karbala, participated as a member in the discussion of a PhD dissertation on the evaluation of trace elements and biochemical variables in the serum of long-COVID patients.

The study, presented by student Waseem Talib Mahdi from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Kufa, addressed the post-COVID-19 side effects and the psychological and neurological disorders that emerged after recovery. This was done by measuring various biochemical markers such as alanine and plasminogen, among others, in addition to some trace elements like calcium, cobalt, and manganese.
