During the special celebration, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi announced on delivering a letter of appreciation from the Prime Minister to Iraqi academics, as well as expressing his appreciation to all employees of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its various affiliations on Iraqi Academics Day.
Dr. Al-Aboudi honored a group of martyrs’ and wounded relatives, university presidents, representatives of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate and a number of distinguished researchers.
His Excellency emphasized on behalf of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani that the focus on development has been continued to be the cornerstone of academic performance.
Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed that two and a half years of work at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research demonstrates a rich experience and achievements, including the establishment of the Scientific Research Authority, the internationalization of education, linking academic programs to global changes, securing the path to Iraqi certification, increasing the Iraqi scientific research index and attracting more than three thousand international students to Iraqi universities.
For his part, the Head of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, Dr. Ali Maseer praised the care and attention by His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi in managing the education sector and its universities and in achieving the highest levels of positive academic performance for Iraqi universities within the context of global rankings and indexes.
