During the International Day of Babylonian Civilization, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi called on strengthening specialized scientific research in the field of archaeology and civilization.

Dr. Al-Aboudi emphasized that the international forum in Babylon is of particular importance as it highlights diverse scientific themes, the results of which converge in a tributary that pulsates with awareness and fulfills the aspirations of Babylon Governorate, its universities, scientific institutions, and scholars and is in keeping with its history, landmarks and institutions, which bear the identity of leadership, creativity and excellence.

His Excellency reviewed that the exchange of ideas and experiences at these important forums represents an opportune opportunity that should be utilized to achieve optimal investment in academic and scientific capabilities and university potential, harnessing their energies in fields of development and benefiting from specialized scientific research in the field of archaeology and civilization.

It is worth to be mentioned that the ceremony was attended by the Governor of Babylon, members of the Provincial Council, university presidents, college deans, and a select group of international archaeological researchers.
