During a meeting with the delegation of representatives from several American universities, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed fields of joint work with their Iraqi counterparts.
Dr. Al-Aboudi affirmed the Ministry and its institutions’ commitment to the internationalization of education according to the provisions of the National Strategy for Education in Iraq.
His Excellency demonstrated that Iraqi universities have attracted more than 3,000 international students from 40 different nationalities in two years and highlighting the importance of students and faculty members exchanges and joint scientific research.
For their part, Representatives from Widener University, Indiana University, and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln expressed their gratitude for the level of cooperation provided by Iraqi universities and their commitment to formulate joint programs that serve the university education environment.
