The Department of Biology at the College of Science, University of Kerbala, organized a scientific field visit for third-year morning-study students in the Microbiology branch to Al-Ameed University. The visit aimed to strengthen the students’ practical and applied skills and to enrich their academic experience.

The visit included the Microbiology Laboratory at the College of Nursing, where students were introduced to key laboratory equipment and modern techniques used in scientific research. The students also visited the College of Medicine to become familiar with its departments and facilities, in addition to the university’s central library, where they reviewed major printed and electronic resources, theses, and dissertations, and learned about the cataloging system used in accordance with international standards.

The visit emphasized the importance of exposure to modern laboratory facilities and up-to-date scientific resources, contributing to the development of students’ research and practical skills and enhancing their applied understanding of academic coursework.
