A master’s thesis at the College of Science at the University of Kerbala discussed the relationship between amino acids in urine models of children with nephrotic syndrome. As well as, the levels of some biochemical indicators in their sera, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Jassem Hanoon Hashem, the scientific and administrative assistants and the head of the Chemistry Department.
The study aims to find the relationship between nephrotic syndrome in children and the levels of amino acids in urine and blood serum, as well as clarifying the relationship between the levels of lipids, lipoproteins and amino acids in the serum and urine of children with nephrotic syndrome. The study has concluded that there is a relationship between pediatric nephrotic syndrome patients and the levels of amino acids in their urine, as well as a relationship between the levels of lipids and lipoproteins in the serum of children with nephrotic syndrome and the appearance of asparagine and glutamine in large quantities in the urine of children with nephrotic syndrome.
The study has recommended applying the same technique to diagnose amino acids for other diseases related to the metabolism of proteins or amino acids, as well as expanding the scope of the study to include other factors that may have a role in the development of nephrotic syndrome, such as the genetic factor, as the metabolism of encoded amino acids and protein metabolism is closely related. with this factor.
