Prof. Dr. Narges Hadi Mansour from the Department of Chemistry, College of Science, has published research in an international Iraqi Journal of Agricultural Sciences within the Q2 classification in Clarivate and Scopus.
The researcher indicated that her research dealt with the development of a simple, cost-effective and environmentally friendly method for making green nanoparticles. The aim is to use the extract of the leaves of the lily plant in the biosynthesis of copper nanoparticles. It was confirmed that colour changing and UV visible spectrophotometer as well as using different techniques to characterize copper nanoparticles and test the prepared copper nanoparticles in this study as antioxidants and their catalytic activity. The results showed that copper nanoparticles have an activity to paralysis free radicals when compared with an extract of the leaves of the plant, so the results showed that copper nanoparticles have better catalytic activity than the extract at high concentrations of BH.
