His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi announced the launching of the third edition of the Study in Iraq program for\u00a0 2025\/2026\u00a0 to admit international students at Iraqi universities.<\/p>\n

Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with all its university institutions and formations, has consistently adopted and implemented strategic projects that position the university education environment as part of the internationalization process and the globalization of academic events.<\/p>\n

His Excellency emphasized that the third edition of the Study in Iraq program includes an ambitious plan that includes more than 16,000 scholarships to include the largest number of international students, cover more diverse specialties and provide broader opportunities for scientific and cultural exchange.<\/p>\n

Dr. Al-Aboudi directed the establishment of the Study in Iraq Association for International Students, the designation of April 30 as International Student Day, and the focus on practical training and the development of Arabic language teaching programs for non-native speakers.<\/p>\n

For his part, the Head of Education and Acting UNESCO Office in Iraq, Dr. Tab Raj congratulated the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on the launching of the third edition of the Study in Iraq program.<\/p>\n

He demonstrated that Iraq continues to enhance its rich heritage by opening its doors to international students from around the world at its universities and educational centers.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that these students will contribute to write a new chapter in the story of this country, full of resilience and renewal.<\/p>\n

It is worth to be mentioned that the ceremony\u00a0 included delivering speeches and presentations by the Director of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, the President of\u00a0 University of Baghdad, the President of the University of Anbar, and two international students, as well as the event concluded with a tribute to distinguished universities and a commemorative photo of the international students.<\/p>\n

It is worth to be mentioned that the conference was attended by a number of representatives of international organizations, Arab and foreign diplomatic missions, parliamentary figures, the President of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate and senior staff.<\/p>\n
