The activities of the First Career Conference at the University of Kerbala commenced on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. The conference is organized by the College of Science under the slogan \u201cScience and the Private Sector: Promising Partnerships that Enhance Your Professional Presence.\u201d The event took place at the Presidency Hall of the University of Karbala, with the attendance of a distinguished group of academic staff, faculty members, university students, and representatives of participating companies.<\/p>\n

The opening session was marked by a formal and distinguished atmosphere reflecting the significance of the event. It began with a recitation from the Holy Qur\u2019an, followed by the recitation of Al-Fatiha in memory of Iraq\u2019s martyrs, and the Iraqi national anthem, embodying a strong sense of national belonging and responsibility.<\/p>\n

The session included a series of official speeches emphasizing the importance of the conference in strengthening collaboration between academic institutions and the private sector. The Assistant President of the University of Kerbala, Professor Dr. Jassim Aidan Al-Maamouri, delivered a welcoming speech in which he highlighted the necessity of supporting students and graduates and preparing them for the labor market through effective strategic partnerships. In addition, the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hassan Jameel Jawad Al-Fatlawi, delivered a speech outlining the College\u2019s role in promoting the applied aspects of science and opening new avenues for engagement with professional institutions.<\/p>\n

The session also featured a visual presentation on the College of Science, showcasing its key achievements and academic programs, along with an inspiring success story that illustrated a practical model of integration between academic knowledge and labor market demands.<\/p>\n

The opening session concluded with a visit to the College of Science to inaugurate the exhibition of participating companies. The exhibition aims to provide employment and training opportunities for students and graduates, while fostering direct engagement with the labor market.<\/p>\n
