Dr. Al-Aboudi Announces On Implementing Bologna Process in More Than 600 Departments in Colleges of Engineering & Science in Upcoming aAademic Year

During chairing a meeting of the advanced staff, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi announced that more than six hundred specialized departments in the Colleges of engineering and science in public and private universities will witness the application of the Bologna Process procedures in the upcoming academic year 2023/2024.

Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed that the Bologna Process represents the most important priority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

His Excellency highlighted the importance of doubling the efforts of the committees responsible for implementing this track in more than six hundred specialized departments in the Colleges of engineering and science with the start of the new academic year.

Dr. Al-Aboudi demonstrated the guide for accrediting the Bologna Process in universities, and what is related to admission, registration, tests and ensuring the quality of application of procedures, especially the curriculum guides, study program, study materials, description of the study materials and electronic system for managing the educational process.

His Excellency confirmed that the universities and their colleges bear the responsibility for implementing the Bologna Process and the success of its procedures.

Dr. Al-Aboudi that the assessment of the university institution and its leaders will be done in light of the indicators of implementation and the interaction achieved.

His Excellency called on investing the new variable provided by this Process in linking university majors with labor market.

Dr. Al-Aboudi stressed that maximum efforts should be made in this and enabling citizens and auditors to achieve their goals within specific times and governing administrative and legal contexts.

For their part, the attendees reviewed a number of axes on the agenda, including the course of updating curricula in university majors and the file of facilitating procedures related to citizens’ affairs.

It is worth to be mentioned that the meeting was attended by members of the central committee and sub-committees for the implementation of the Bologna Process in universities.
