Dr. Al-Aboudi Meets Secretary of Association of Arab Universities, His Excellency Calls On Holding Its’ General Conference in Baghdad

During a meeting with the Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed developing prospects for joint work.

Dr. Al-Aboudi confirmed the Iraqi academic institution’s  keenness on cooperating and coordinating with the Union’s institutions, which include the corresponding college associations and the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Council, and to set the necessary steps to achieve development indicators and goals and create an environment for scientific and research partnerships between Arab universities.

His Excellency called on the Association of Arab Universities to hold a meeting of its general conference in Baghdad to enhance the climate of communication between Arab universities and increase aspects of scientific and academic integration and cooperation.

Dr. Al-Aboudi highlighted the importance of the initiative launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of (study in Iraq) to attract international students.

For his part, Dr. Salama expressed his great appreciation to His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi for the keenness on cooperating and enabling universities to establish productive partnerships and reach the highest level of response to quality requirements, striving towards international accreditation, applying modern educational aspects and programs and achieving harmonization between university outputs and the labor market.

Dr. Salama demonstrated the importance of the academic impact enjoyed by Iraqi universities in terms of scientific research indicators, knowledge exchange, and specialized programs.
