A Successful Meeting Between the College of Science and Employers in Karbala

The College of Science at the University of Karbala held an important meeting attended by the Dean of the College, members of the College Council, the Head of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division, and representatives from key organizations benefiting from the college’s graduates, including prominent employers across various sectors.

The participants included:

The Directorate of Environment in Karbala: Focused on improving the outcomes of the Department of Biological Sciences.

Khair Al-Joud Company for Modern Agricultural Technology: Aimed at enhancing collaboration with the Department of Chemistry.

Al-Furat Chemical Industries Company: Discussed avenues for cooperation with the Department of Chemistry.

Warith International Institution for Oncology Treatment: Focused on improving the outcomes of the Department of Physics, particularly the Medical Physics branch.

The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration between the university and the labor market and to develop the college’s outcomes to meet the growing demands of the job market. Key issues discussed during the meeting included:

Aligning academic programs with labor market requirements.

Serving the community through scientific research.

The discussions focused on identifying the skills needed in the field and integrating them into student preparation stages, considering program accreditation standards aligned with labor market demands and stakeholders’ needs.
