Faculty Member from the College of Science Participates in PhD Defense on Nano Nitrogen and Potassium Spraying

Professor Khalid Ali Hussein, faculty member in the Department of Biology at the College of Science – University of Kerbala, participated as a committee member in the PhD defense of student Aqeel Abdul-Abbas at the College of Education for Pure Sciences. The dissertation was entitled:
“Effect of Nano Nitrogen and Potassium Spraying on Some Physiological and Biochemical Traits of Chrysanthemum under Water Stress Conditions.”

The research aimed to evaluate the plant’s response to foliar spraying with nano materials, assessing their impact on morphological, physiological, and biochemical traits, as well as the interactions among study factors to enhance growth and productivity under different irrigation levels.

The results highlighted the significance of nano foliar spraying in supporting plants exposed to water stress, recommending the use of nano nitrogen (4 ml/L) and nano potassium (4 g/L).

The College of Science – University of Karbala commended Professor Khalid Ali Hussein for his valuable contribution to the discussion and his role in advancing scientific research.
