Faculty of Science Organizes a Training Course on Microbial Sample Management

The biology Department at the Faculty of Science, University of Kerbala, organized a training course entitled “Strategies for Managing Microbial Samples in Medical Laboratories and Their Impact on the Accuracy of Clinical Diagnosis.” The course aimed to provide participants with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in accordance with international standards to ensure diagnostic accuracy and the safety of laboratory personnel.

The course covered fundamental concepts of microbiology, procedures for sample collection, transportation, and receipt, internal handling and storage, as well as results management and quality assurance, with a particular focus on the role of quality control in enhancing diagnostic accuracy and laboratory safety.

In conclusion, the course emphasized the importance of adhering to proper practices in the diagnosis of clinical samples to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
