The College of Science, Department of Biology at the University of Karbala, organized a training course entitled “Applications of Phytoremediation Technology for Environmental Cleanup.”
The course aimed to shed light on and familiarize students with the applications of phytoremediation, an effective and eco-friendly method important for cleaning contaminated soil, water, and air.
The course included an explanation of the role of plants and associated microorganisms in removing pollutants, making it an important alternative to traditional treatment methods. It highlighted how phytoremediation improves soil quality, enhances biodiversity, and promotes a healthy ecosystem. The method has proven to be effective in treating contaminated sites.
