A master’s thesis at the College of Science at the University of Kerbala has discussed the evaluation of the inhibitory activity of a nano-prepared disinfectant against some bacterial species isolated from wounds by a student Amal Sahib Muhammadin, and the presence of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Jassem Hanoun Hashem and the scientific and administrative assistants and a head of the Department of biology.
The thesis aims to isolate one type of Gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus) and one type of Gram-negative bacteria, in addition to isolating one type of pathogenic yeast from 60 different clinical samples from the wounds of patients visiting and sleeping in Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) Medical Educational City in Holy Kerbala .
The study was concluded after the preparation and characterization of two nano-hybrids from the disinfectants chlorhexidine and chloroxylenol, so the inhibitory activity of the disinfectants prepared in this study was evaluated and their efficiency in inhibiting isolated microorganisms was confirmed.
