The Human Rights Unit at the College of Science, University of Kerbala, organized a scientific seminar titled “Awareness and Prevention of the Dangers of Drug Use”, delivered by Assistant Lecturers Ali Kazem Awad and Fursan Abdullah Abd Ali.
The seminar aimed to raise students’ awareness of the dangers of drug abuse and its negative effects on both mental and physical health, as well as its social repercussions that threaten individual well-being and societal stability.
The session addressed several effective prevention strategies, including strengthening religious values, reinforcing cultural principles, emphasizing the importance of family bonds, and fostering trust and open communication with children to help them share and resolve their problems.
This seminar is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to promote health and social awareness among students and to strengthen the university’s role in building an informed and resilient society against behavioral risks.
